New Love Me

These days I wasn't feeling very well..I don't really know why..might be the post-holidays effect :) Eating too much, drinking too much , sleeping late, new year's dreams and expectations...I felt like being bored of being me (it sounds quite poetic). I was even bored they way I smell. The same two fragrances all these years. Then it hit me! If  I change how I smell my life will be renewed!! It was a difficult decision due to the fact that I was left behind with all these new fragrances launched the last couple of years. After a nose-trip I came up with this.. now I smell it and I am looking who's beside me, but there isn't anyone it's the new me.

Jewelry ? Not me . What a lie..

At the age of 19 I said the stupidest thing ever, "I  don't like jewellery at all !" It wasn't really that, I just couldn't get what they add to women's outfit.. Now, ten years later I am fond of them!! One of my favorite designers is Sissy Koukeri, I love love love her work. The designs are so unique and minimal. There's nothing more to add, photos speak on their own ...(visit Sissy's work online here )

Mr. Lagerfeld T-shirt

There's nothing sexier than a laser cut t-shirt.. don't you agree? I love fine fabrics like American Vintage which make me feel that I am wearing something so delicate. In one of the my first posts I wrote about the Belle Epoque Vintage bazaar , there I bought something that wasn't vintage but it is also worth having !! Lamda Alpha by Lambros Apostolos (Greek-American designer) is one of the finest t-shirt brands because it is F&C (fashionable & cosy) .I am so tired of fabrics that look nice but make me feel uncomfortable. Button Me Up !

When I started writing this post about the button ring I've made I was thinking many catchy titles but this is the one that I finally chose, so Ι said to myself "Let's Google it" and so I did . To my surprise there is a site selling button-jewelry and it is called button me up!!! Here's the way to make mine.
  1. Find an old ring you like, one that has its hole on the back side preferably
  2. Make sure that the holes are quite big
  3. Buy thin, flexible wire in a colour of your preference
  4. Make the wire 1 round and then wear it
  5.  Make another 2 rounds but keep it loose a little bit
  6. Now wrap it vertically to be become more solid
  7. Try to hide the ending in the hole or cut it with a tool and wrap it so it doesn't scratch you

Coffee with an Elf

Holidays apart from celebrating and consuming is also a good reason for reading a book. This year a friend suggested a Christmas one, David Sedari's "Santaland Diaries". Funny, sarcastic, seems light but it has profound meanings on parents' behavior during Christmas time (narrated by an elf working  at Macy's). So I sat down with my warm cup of coffee and finished it in an hour (it is an essay). It was Just a Perfect hour!!! Hope you 'll enjoy it :)

Mama's Vintage "Betty Blue"

When I was little my favourite game was digging in mama's closet, since then I haven't changed a lot.. last year I found this beautiful vintage dress which was in an excellent condition in my mum's closet  but with many défauts... "It is American" mama told me, back in 1960 it was extremely rare to have a dress like this . Someone brought it and it passed from cousins to my mother. A good friend fixed it and I present it to you ( I call it Betty Blue ).
